EDWinXP system when used with NEW USB Dongle License bypasses any License presented in the system (Like Evaluation, Evaluation expired or any other License) and starts with the licensed modules included in the USB License Disk. Thus If an EDWinXP user connects his USB License Dongle in his computer before he start EDWinXP installed on his computer, the EDWinXP system checks the License presented in the USB Dongle and starts accordingly and neglects the original License included in his computer. The same License Disk can be used with any other computer which has an EDWinXP installation of the same version.

Suppose an Electronics Design House or an electronics design laboratory in an educational institution has less number of EDWinXP USB License dongle and EDWinXP evaluation (Within Evaluation or Evaluation expired) installed on more number of computers than the number of Licenses they own. In this situation the designer can run EDWinXP on any computer according to his preference with a valid EDWinXP USB License Dongle. He can run EDWinXP without any restrictions by connecting the USB License dongle in to a system which has an EDWinXP evaluation installed. Thus keeping EDWinXP License within one single system can be avoided and the EDWinXP License in a USB Disk can be used with any computer which has a supported version of EDWinXP installed.

How to create a USB License Dongle?

The USB License Dongle of EDWinXP can be created from the Export/Restore License in EDWinXP MainàðHelp. Export EDWinXP License to a USB Disk Drive window is opened.

In this window browse for the USB disk drive path and Click OK.
